John 14:1 let not your heart
be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in
me
John
14:1 points clearly to the following facts- 1.
The decision-making whether truthful or false occurs in the heart. Why? Our soul
atman within the heart always prompts us on the right path. It is the ego driven
self of a human being that prompts one on the worldly path... the path of wanton
desires and materialistic riches!
"Let
not your heart be troubled" clearly indicates
that one must learn to believe in the existence
of our soul the atman within... Our soul atman that
resides within our heart! And this soul atman being
a minuscule part of God never guides one on the
wrong path.
If
we are truthful to self... there is no cause for
anyone to distrust the voice from within... the
voice of soul the atman within residing in our heart.
John 14:1simply implies that we learn to go by the
dictates coming from within our heart... the dictates
of our soul the atman within.
The
statement "Let not your heart be troubled" also confirms that the body
is the ephemeral part of life and the real essence is our soul atman residing
in our heart. Here
I would like to stress upon the fact... The physical manifested sojourn of 70
to 80 years... the entire life of a human being is but a fleeting moment in the
cosmic life span of 8.4 million manifestations every soul undergoes right from
the first manifestation to the last. The
total cosmic life span of every soul is limited to 96.4 million earthly years.
This is the maximum time that can be spent by every soul atman before it reaches
the state of enlightenment and finally salvation moksha in Hinduism. Does
this mean for getting enlightenment... everyone has to reach the stage of 8.4
millionth manifestation. Yes, the truth is so! Jesus Christ gained enlightenment
and finally salvation in his lifetime. He became a living man god.
2. "Ye believe in God, believe also in me" emphasizes that only
a believer in God can become a true soldier of God, the Jesus Christ himself.
"ye believe in God, believe also in me" also stresses that to believe
in God one needs to believe in a true son of God, the Jesus Christ himself...
one who gained enlightenment in his lifetime and reached the kingdom of God aka
Vaikuntha in Hinduism.
If
you believe in God... you also believe in his existence in our body as our soul
atman residing in our heart. And as the soul atman of every human being is of
the minuscule form of God within the body... belief in the soul of Jesus Christ
believes in God Almighty himself. Such
a statement can never be made one who has not yet reached the stage of enlightenment.
It is only after reaching the stage of enlightenment that every soul gets back
to its pristine glorious form. From here it is direct journey to the abode of
God aka the kingdom of God. As
a mortal human being we do not know the path of reaching the kingdom of God. It
is only an enlightened soul like Jesus Christ, a true son of God whose guidance
can lead us on the right spiritual path. In the absence of enlightened souls...
it would not only be difficult neigh impossible for a normal human being to take
the spiritual journey. In
a nutshell John 14:1 clarifies that for a normal human being to prepare for his
journey towards the kingdom of God... One needs to first believe in the existence
of Jesus Christ, a true son of God. It is only then one can garner the vital bits
of wisdom from the teachings of Jesus Christ and proceed towards the kingdom of
God thereafter. The
journey towards the kingdom of God has already been completed by Jesus Christ.
He knows the path. The believer of Jesus Christ would come to know of the path
on its own. I again repeat that belief in our soul atman within our heart is a
sure shot method towards knowing the right path... the right method to proceed
towards the kingdom of God. Bhagavad
Gita... the most sacred of all scriptures existing on Mother Earth... the doctrine
put forward by Lord Krishna in Mahabharata also confirms that the knower of self
becomes the knower of Almighty God Brahman in Hinduism.
To
know the self is the problem... and that can only be known by following the dictates
of the enlightened souls. Following Jesus Christ... one can reach the kingdom
of God. Come unto me (have faith in me) and thee shall reach thy home (the kingdom
of God). Lord
Krishna in Bhagavad Gita exhorts that surrender unto me... it is only then thee
shall enter the kingdom of God aka Vaikuntha in Hinduism. In
Jainism also the first prayers are addressed to Arihanta... the enlightened souls!
Unless obeisance is paid to the enlightened souls... the path to God would not
become clear. Belief
in God... surrender unto God... surrender unto those enlightened beings who have
reached the end of cosmic life are only competent to guide the humanity to their
logical end. May
God bless us all in the journey of life!
Note: The Bible interpretation commentary
by Vijay Kumar... the Man who Realized God in 1993 would become clear only when
read with an unbiased and open mind. In the kingdom of God all are equal... God
Almighty does not differentiate between Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ
and Prophet Mohammed.
Having
gained enlightenment and finally salvation... these man gods reached the kingdom
of God in their lifetime. All paths... all religions and spirituality lead one
towards the one and only final goal... the abode of God aka Vaikuntha in Hinduism.
